Measure, communicate and grow your organization's impact with Social Enterprise Institute's Impact Practice Certificate.
Now more than ever, community-serving organizations and social entrepreneurs must be able to share the impact of their work in a clear, easy to understand fashion.
Governments, foundations and other funders want to see that the work they support generates tangible outcomes.
Conscious consumers are voting with their wallets and doing business with organizations that live their values.
Corporations and public sector buyers are now considering impact and favoring suppliers who can demonstrate the difference they make.
So whether you're seeking grants, donations or market share, telling the story of your impact is no longer optional.
What is it?
The Impact Practice Certificate is a four-month program that teaches leaders in social purpose organizations and businesses:
how to measure their social, environmental and cultural impact
how to grow their impact by integrating impact practice into their daily operations
how to tell their story to stakeholders in a clear, compelling fashion.
Developed in partnership with world-leading impact experts at Social Value Lab, IPC is the first course of it's kind to be offered in Canada.
The program consists of:
One day in-person workshop
Ten online courses, covering everything from establishing your mission to data collection and using evidence to grow impact
Bi-weekly webinars to help you apply course content in real time
A Certificate of Completion, to help you tell the story of your commitment to impact.
Price: $1,999CAD per participant. Applicants may be eligible for a Canada Job Grant (eligibility varies by province).
Who is it for?
IPC is for leaders in any organization that values making a positive social, environmental and cultural impact through their work.
Social enterprises and social entrepreneurs
Co-operatives and credit unions
Other purpose-driven organizations

For a number of years our organization has been struggling with how to represent our impact.
In my view, this program, unlike others, provides clear, simple and practical guidance for social purpose organisations to define their enterprise and impact.
Canadian content, in addition to learning about inspiring international examples, gives participants a sense of belonging to the larger community of practice.
The quality of SEI / Impact Practice material has stayed with us. It inspired us to share the program with our staff and continues to support our work today.
