For Immediate Release - Halifax:
Common Good Solutions’ Nova Scotia-based tech start-up Social Enterprise Institute (SEI) has expanded into new markets, partnering with the Australian Centre for Rural Entrepreneurship (ACRE) in Beechworth AU to deliver online training to all of Australia; taking another step in positioning Nova Scotia as a pivotal link in the global social enterprise movement.
As recently evidenced by the release of the National Social Innovation and Social Finance strategy (www.sisfs.ca), meeting social outcomes has moved from nicety to necessity in the world of public policy and business. SEI and ACRE will work together at the practitioner and community level to hold these strategies to account, equipping entrepreneurs with the tools they need to successfully launch and scale a social enterprise. This partnership is just one of many on the horizon for SEI.
COO, Social Enterprise Institute, Stephanie Pronk “We saw a great fit and opportunity in ACRE with their rural-focus. Rural is a huge priority for all of us as our small towns and villages search for solutions to dwindling long-standing industries and businesses. How amazing is it that we can begin connecting users in our home province to the experiences from those on the other side of the world?”
Operations Manager, Australian Centre for Rural Entrepreneurship, Caz Humby “This is very exciting – we are really looking forward to working with SEI to open up global opportunities.”
